MEET THE CAST: Paul E. Martinez a.k.a Frank Younger

17 Mar 2010 by Susan Myburgh, Comments Off

We open OZMA & HARRIET in 8 days! I KNOW!! We can't wait either!!! While we all hold on to our panties in anticipation we thought we'd introduce you to our lovely cast.  Meet Paul E. Martinez, Tympanic Company Member and lover of…err…snakes?

  • What’s your character’s name? Frank Younger.  He is the scientist who has created the Ozma prototype (also known as Christopher Acevedo).
  •

  • Where did you get your “real person” name?  My name is actually an inversion of my father's name.  He is Edward Paul Martinez and when I was birthed from my mother, they decided to do the ol' flippy-dippy and I was dubbed Paul Edward Martinez.  My parents are very original.  My sister's name is Baby Book Martinez; I think they wanted to get it from a baby book, but clearly didn't get past the cover.
  •

  • What would your robot name be?  Probably Keith.
  •

  • What’s something even yo’ Mama don’t know about you (or your character’s Mama’s don’t know about them)? Hmmm… do you mean my Mama as in my mother or my 'baby mama?'  The answer to the question is the same regardless.  Both my mother and my baby-mama know everything about me.  We have a weekly conference call so I can catch them up to speed on my goings on.
  •

  • Which early 90’s television icon would play you in the story of your life?  I would want it to be Balki Bartokomous, but it would probably be more accurate if it were Larry Appleton.
  • In five words or less, why should we shell out $15.00 to see OZMA & HARRIET?  Listen, do what you want.
  • Reserve your seat for our preview Thurs, March 25th at admin@tympanictheatre.org (HINT: It's FREE on preview night).

    Thanks for reading!
