Feeling Gushy…

Okay, not to wax sentimental or pat ourselves on the back or anything, but that’s what I’m about to do.  I’m feeling pretty gushy today.

I just wanted to send a big blogosphere thank you to everyone in Tympanic and anyone who worked on BASTARDS OF YOUNG.  It’s been a crazy transitional year for us as a company, and with this show, every last person pulled their weight and allowed us to function as a collective, which is an extremely hard thing to do for a night of sort plays.  It’s also the first time in quite a while that I feel Tympanic has truly operated as a single unit.  I couldn’t be happier.

Sorry, I know this isn’t a super specific post and maybe not a very interesting post, but I have nothing but the utmost respect for every person who kicked ass on this sucker – actors, directors, writers, designers, company members, photographers, fight choreographers, stage managers, you all rule in my book, both as artists and as people.

You may be reading this and wondering – who are these people?  What exactly IS a Bastard of Young?  What the hell is Tympanic all about?  If you find yourself asking these questions, there’s no better way to discover the answers than to come out and see BASTARDS OF YOUNG, which opens tonight!  It’s the best example of what we do as a company so far, and I truly believe there’s a little something for everyone in this colorful, visceral, and energetic night of theatre.  Once again, here’s the info:
